Impact of Recognition on employee engagement
In 2013 HayGroup’s repeated its yearly worldwide Engagement@Work study. Their Employee Effectiveness Model identifies six levers for Engagement. When we look at the results for the Belgian market, Respect & Recognition are the best levers to have employees exert discretionary effort or show true engagement! Cf. slide 25. This finding is consistent with numerous other independent studies that all place employee recognition in the top three to stimulate employee engagement.
